According to the transport experts the use of trains aids in the reduction of traffic congestion, will increase the quality of public spaces in the cities and also the reduction in noise pollution and contamination.
Gran Canaria wishes to establish a rail network which links Las Palmas in the north to Maspalomas in the south. This safe, fast and comfortable way of travelling will automatically transform the connection between the north and the south of the island allowing more job opportunities, the offer of competitive services, another means of transport and generally an improvement in public transport making the accessibility between the municipalities easy to the inhabitants and to the many visitors to the island.
The proposed route is Las palmas de Gran Canaria – Telde – airport – Arinaga- Maspalomas, this project is part of the future and continual investment and growth for Gran Canaria and welcomed by many.
